HIMA Health’s network hospitals have received numerous accreditations and awards for its hospitals and its centers of excellence. These accreditations follow a very strict process of review of quality outcomes, safety procedures and staff policies and protocols for the facilities and other specifically for medical services in determined areas such as Oncology, Cardiology, etc.
HIMA San Pablo Bayamon is a Target: Heart Failure participating hospital by the American Heart Association.
HIMA San Pablo Oncological Hospital is a participating facility of the Children’s Oncology Group (COG), a National Cancer Institute supported clinical trials group, is the world’s largest organization devoted exclusively to childhood and adolescent cancer research.
HIMA San Pablo Bayamon Chest Pain Center has been accredited by the Society of Cardiovascular Society. Hospitals awarded this designation have Primary PCI available 24/7 every day of the year. Only accredited center in Puerto Rico.
HIMA San Pablo Caguas is a Target Stroke participating facility
Participating hospitals are committed to reaching the Target: Stroke performance goal of 50 percent or more of eligible patients treated with tPA within 60 minutes of hospital arrival.

HIMA San Pablo Oncological Hospital is an accredited Commission on Cancer (CoC) Center with Gold Commendation
The (CoC) program of the American College of Surgeons (ACoS), recognizes cancer care programs for their commitment to providing comprehensive, high-quality, and multidisciplinary patient centered care.
HIMA San Pablo Caguas’s Epilepsy Center is currently accredited by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers and is currently a Level 4 Facility
Level 4 Facility is the highest level a center can achieve . Only center accredited in Puerto Rico and the region.
HIMA San Pablo Bayamon has been accredited as a a STEMI (Heart Attack) Receiving Center by the American Heart Association and the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care.
The Accreditation identifies hospitals that participate in coordinated systems of care for ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and meet specific standards. Only accredited center in Puerto Rico.
