HIMA Health is the international program of one of the largest health companies  in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean Basin , Grupo HIMA San Pablo.

Grupo HIMA San Pablo started in 1988 and currently has 5 Facilities with over 1100 beds, an ambulatory care center, home infusion company, ambulance service and ancillary  health services. Over 5300 employees are part of Grupo HIMA San Pablo showing excellence and customer services as its number one priority.

The facilities are licensed by the Department of Health and accredited by the Joint Commission. They follow CMS (Center for Medicare Services) guidelines and other US regulatory agencies .

Over six Centers of Excellence are part of HIMA San Pablo’s facilities with state of the art technology like the DaVInci Surgical System (First in Puerto Rico ) and the Cyberknife.

Grupo HIMA –San Pablo has been serving the Caribbean basin community for over 25 years and in 2008 and international department -HIMA Health  was created due to the high demand of services for international patients.

HIMA Health has seen over 3000 patients annually mainly from the Caribbean Basin and the Mainland United States.  The program was created solely for international patients with a 24/7 call center and concierge services making the process of medical travel stress-free .

The program assists international physicians, hospitals and individuals throughout the process of coordination from emergency services to elective procedures.

The program is certified by the Medical Tourism Association.
